Alisa is an Attorney at Zamani & Associates, PLLC, where she works exclusively in all areas of family law and family formation. Alisa is a strong advocate of collaboration and negotiation to resolve disputes. Alisa is a trained mediator and assists clients in utilizing the mediation and collaborative law processes to resolve family matters with respect and integrity. Alisa has also served as court-appointed counsel for children's best interests in contested custody cases in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
Alisa has a strong public service background and believes in serving the indigent population in the District of Columbia. Prior to joining her firm, Alisa served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeanette J. Clark in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Family Court. She also volunteers with the D.C. Bar Family Law Pro Bono Project as Advising Counsel.
Alisa is a Member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals ("IACP") and the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals ("DCACP") where she has assisted on the Membership Committee. Alisa has also been recognized for her dedication to the family law field by her peers by selection to Super Lawyers Rising Stars and to the Best Lawyers in America for Family Law in 2019.
Alisa also serves as a guest lecturer at The George Washington University Law School in their Family Law Department.
